Saatiin motorhome lopultakin Redciffeen ja kuormaus alkoi. Vekotin näytää ihan hyvältä, kun vastaanotimme 6:n hengen välineen, vaikka olimme maksaneet pienemmästä. Tavaroita pakataan kuin veneeseen, vaikka lokerot ovat eri paikoissa.Liikenteesen pääsimme ihan sopivaan aikaan, eikä "vehiclellä" liikkuminen tuntunut yhtään ihmeelisemmältä kuin Primulan vanhalla Gommerilla ajo, paitsi että tässä on automaattiloota ja iso turbo diesel, mikä vastaa kaasun painamiseen tosi tehokkaasti. Ensimmäinen legi oli Etthamogan bubille, minne selvisimme ihan muun liikennnevirran mukana. Päätimme ajaa rantatietä jossa riitti ympyröitä myötäpäivään. TomTom on ihan hyvä väline kun se kertoo jopa ympyrästä ulosajon. Löysimme sen avulla jopa Caravanpaikan johon olimme tähdänneet,eli Tewantin mahtavaan caravan parkkiin. Paikallinen opas neuvoi paljonko rattia piti vääntää missäkin kohdassa ja saimme vaunun pysäköityä säntilliseen paikkaan. Nukkuminenkin onnistui kohtalaisen hyvin.
It was time to get the motorhome for two weeks. We drove it to Redcliffe and the loading begun. This home on wheels looked good, since we got a model for six people, after paying for the smaller one we had reserved. Everything get packed like they do on a boat, even though the cabins are in slightly different places.
We managed to get rolling in decent time and operating the vehicle was no harder than the good old Primula's bread lorry Gommer, except this one had automatic transmission and a huge trubo diesel, that is really responsive.
Our fist leg was to Etthamogah pub, and we got there nicely following the flow of traffic. From there, we decided to follow the shoreline. This route had tons of roundabouts it seemed. Our Tomtom showed it's claws here as it even tells which exit to take.
Eventually we found our caravan park in Tewantin. Their vallee service guided us to our designated spot, which was nice. Our first night a reasonable success, as everyone got to rest just fine.
